The Spring 2022 Friday Night Lights season came to an end on May 20 as the league hosted its annual Championship Friday spectacular.

32 teams started the evening at McAuliffe Middle School with dreams of capturing the FNL Championship trophy in their division, but unfortunately, only four teams went home with the big 1st place trophy.

This years winners were:

  • 1/2nd grade: Oregon Ducks,
  • 3rd/4th grade: Florida Gators,
  • 5th/6th grade: Penn St. Nittany Lions
  • 7th/8th grade: Arizona Cardinals.

It was another amazing season with over 1200 kids participating on about 150 teams!

But for those who already feeling the need for a flag football fix, the FNL organization will host its annual Memorial Day Weekend Tournament of Champions and then begin its Summer League on June 24.  Over 550 local kids have signed up for that season.

Fall Season registration is now underway at www.LosALFNL.com. with the league already at 85% capacity.  The Fall campaign, which runs from August through November, will mark FNL’s 16th year and 28th season.

Action photos from the Championship evening are available at Dave Peeters Photos.
