Eric Hendrickson has been hired as the new Finance Director for the City of Los Alamitos. His hiring was announced by City manager Bret Plumlee at April 15, 2019, meeting of the Los Alamitos City Council.
Hendrickson assumes the role previously held by Maria-Luisa Valdez who recently resigned to spend more time with her family. She has been working on a part-time basis to assist the city through the spring budgeting season.
Mr. Hendrickson has approximately ten years of local government finance experience. Most recently, he served as the Finance Manager for the City of La Habra Heights for the past two years. Prior to that, he served as an Accountant and Senior Accountant for the City of Placentia and as an auditor for Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C.
He graduated from Biola University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. Eric lives in Orange County with his wife Laura, and two children Adam, 4, and Tara, 2.
