As if high school sports re-leaguing wasn’t getting more confusing enough, Los Al teams will play in both the Sunset Conference and the more familiar Sunset League this year.
The Sunset Conference is an eight school conference that includes Laguna Beach and Marina in all sports but football. For that sport, the latter two will play in the eight-team Golden West Conference. The other six schools — Los Al, Edison, Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Newport Harbor and newcomer Corona Del Mar will comprise the six-team Sunset League.
