Los Al’s very first year – was composed of sophomore students only and their classrooms were at Pine Junior High — what is now McAuliffe Middle School.
The original plan was for the students to move over to the new high school campus at the start of the second semester so district officials could move junior high students from Oxford and Lexington to reduce overcrowding. But due to construction delays, the move was delayed until Sept 1968.
