Prolific author Chris Epting will be the guest speaker at the Los Alamitos-Rossmoor Library next Sunday when he gives a pop culture history tour detailing the secret stories behind the places related to Elvis, Marilyn, James Dean and many other iconic pop culture figures,
The event, hosted by the Friends of the Los Alamitos Rossmoor Library. takes place Sunday, September 29 @ 2pm.
Epting, originally from New York but now a long-time resident of Huntington Beach, is the author of over 30 books, and most recently is also the executive producer/co-host of the REELZ channel TV series “It Happened Here”. His books include James Dean Died Here, Roadside Baseball, Change of Seasons (w/John Oates), Teddy Roosevelt in California, and many books on local history including Huntington Beach (Postcard History).
He is also an award-winning travel writer and has contributed articles for such publications as the Los Angeles Times, Westways and Travel + Leisure magazine. In addition, Epting is a veteran music journalist.
