Los Alamitos Unified School District is pleased to announce that Dr. Andrew Pulver has been selected as the new Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and Director of Classified Personnel. He will assume his new role effective July 1, 2011.
Dr. Pulver has worked in education for over 16 and has been with the Los Alamitos Unified School District for the past 12 years. He taught math and science at both the elementary and secondary levels, was a middle school assistant principal, and served as the Principal of Lee Elementary School for the last five years.
In addition, Dr. Pulver is a member of the management’s negotiation team, coordinated the Outdoor Science School program, participated on the District’s health benefits committee, and was selected as Administrator of the Year in 2009. Dr. Pulver received his Bachelor of Arts and teaching credential from Loyola Marymount University, his Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership from Alliant International University, and a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California.
