The young Los Alamitos Griffins Boys Basketball continues to show signs of maturity and growth, as they stole a victory on the road, handing long-time rival Edison a 61-57 loss on the Chargers court.
The Griffins got another outstanding performance from sophomore guard Kevin Kent who finished with 29 points. Junior David Olcomendy added 21 points.
The loss was Edison’s first in Surf league play and knocked them from a tie for first place with Corona Del Mar. They are 17-8 overall. The Griffins are now 1-3 in league and 8-13 overall. They return to action on Monday morning against Rolling Hills in the Orange Lutheran Hoopfest.

The Los Alaitos Boys soccer squad suffered a tough 1-0 loss to Edison on Friday afternoon. The Griffins are now 8-9-3 overall and 1-2 in Surf League play, They return to action next Wednesday at Newport Harbor then host Corona Del Mar next Friday.
