The Griffins advanced to the 5th Place championship game of the Beach Bash tournament with a 63-57 win over Redondo Union Thursday afternoon.
Los Al’s leading scorer was Tyler Matthews with 22 points and Jake Petroff chipped in 12 points. Los Al plays Pacifica Christian on Saturday in their final game in the CDM Beach Bash
Tournament brackets originally had the Griffins matching up against Edison, a Sunset league opponent, but as is often the case, when tourney championships are not on the line, schedules are adjusted to play teams, not from your league.
