It was a great weekend for the Los Al Track and Field team at the OC Track Championships at Mission Viejo High School. The Los Al Girls finished in second place to JSerra, and David Brok and Devin Bragg led a strong boys performance.
The Los Al Girls 4×100 squad ( Selah Toler, Summer Allen, Sanaa Guiness, and name to be identified) captured the 4×100 relay with a time of 49.50.
MacKenzie Kirk won first place in the Triple Jump and took home second-place medals in the Long Jump and High Jump.
And on the Boys side, David Brok was county champion in the Pole vault, and freshman Devin Bragg finished fourth in the 100 meters but once again broke his own freshman school record with a wind-aided 10.67

BASEBALL: Griffins down Edison
On Friday, the The Los Al Griffins Baseball team bounced back from a tough loss to Huntington Beach, with a 3-0 win over Surf League rival Edison.
Josh Donegan threw a 3 hit complete game shutout to earn the victory. Nate Dowdell supported him with two hits, and scoring two runs.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL: Los Al wins
The Griffins Boys volleyball team won its second match of the week, winning at Marina 3-0 on Friday. On Wednesday Los Al downed Edison by the same score.
Los Al improved its Wave League record to 2-0 and its overall mark to 17-6. They are 3-1 in the Sunset Conference. They complete the first round of League play on Wednesday, playing host to Fountain Valley.
WATER POLO: Munatones, Niz named to OC Register All-County squad
Los Al senior Sofia Munatones and junior goalkeeper Joey Niz were honored on the OC Register’s all-county water polo team, both being named to the fourth squad.
Sofia, who plays the attacker and utility postions has committed to play water polo at UC San Diego next year, as has her twin sister Sydney.
