The OC Register came out with its list of top student fan sections, and the results say… it’s Back … to … back, baby! for the Los Al Locos, the Griffins student rooting section.
The Register writer, Manny Alvarez, noted “it wasn’t a landslide victory like their 2019 title. This year it was very close.” But, woth one of the top public school teams in Southern California, Alvbarez added, “They stepped up to the challenge every week, home and away. Some of the Locos went to Fresno to cheer on the Griffins. That’s insane!”
The Locos edged out the Servite, Villa Park and San Clemente sections, in part due to their classic “roller coaster,” a staple going back over 10 years. But they apparently have added the parting of the red sea to their repertoire.
