No one in the community is more deserving, thus it was no surprise to anyone (but them) that Los Alamitos High School chose Kori and Daren DeLeon as the recipients of their 2021 Heroes of the Heart award.
The presentation to the Rossmoor residents — who have been very involved with football, rugby, choir, and much more at the school and before that at Lee and Oak — was made May 11, during LAHS Principal Greg Stone’s presentation to the school board. The Event News-Enterprise has the story.
