A Facebook post bashing Nike for its Colin Kaepernick ad had prompted hundreds to sign a petition this week McGaugh elementary principal Roni Burns-Ellis.
The outcry came after the post appeared on a page belonging to Burns-Ellis according to the Change.org petition. It was uploaded on Tuesday, shortly after Nike released a preliminary view of its new ad with Kaepernick. Burns-Ellis’ post came shortly after some Seal Beach policemen began a Facebook discussion questioning Nike’s decision. Her post has since been removed, according to the Orange County Register.
