The Los Al Youth baseball Pinto (9-10) all-stars rolled through the opposition and came away with the championship at the PONY baseball Pinto Western Zone Championships, played last weekend in San Jose.
The Pintos opened the tournament on July 11 with a 13-3 win over Rodeo, then followed that up with another 13-3 romp, this time over Seaside. On Saturday the Los Al lads again downed Rodeo to set up a 605 series finale against East Long Beach, which soon fell to the LAYB crew 9-5 in the championship game. .
This was the team’s fourth Championship banner en roUte to A 29-3 overall all-star — 18-0 in PONY Sanctioned Tournaments. Players on the team are Ernest Bagnasco, Riley Buccat, Aiden Chad, Gregory Dillon, Nicolas Garcia, Axel Johnston, Cruz Magallanes, Logan Mckennon, Matthew Polanco, Mark Redaja, Jacoby Shay, and Jayden Whitt.
The team is managed by Managed by John Shay and Coaches Fred Redaja and Scott Dillon.
