Seal Beach Police Department arrests man for arranging to meet minor for sexual purpose
A man was arrested by Seal Beach Police after allegedly engaging in online sexual communication with a minor and arranging to meet the minor for sexual purposes. In early September 2021, the Seal Beach Police Department received information about an adult male who engaged in sexually explicit online communications with a person believed to be a 14-year-old child. New modeling shows rising seas will change the coast and the groundwater beneath your feet
Concerns about rising sea levels have usually focused on cleaning the sea on previously dry lands, but higher seas also raise coastal groundwater levels. Miami has already experienced such a groundwater flood. Patrick Barnard, a coastal geologist at the U.S. Geological Survey, said that the Atlantic Ocean is rising enough to regularly push up groundwater levels, eroding the surface of some areas every day. As a result, some residential areas of Long Beach, Seal Beach, and Huntington Beach will appear on the modeling map as groundwater has already invaded the surface.

Enhanced airfield operations on tap in support of local air show
The Los Alamitos Army Airfield (LAAAF) at the Joint Forces Training Base will serve as the staging point for a variety of military aircraft – including the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds Flight Demonstration Teams — scheduled to perform at this weekend’s Pacific Airshow in Huntington Beach. Arrival of aircraft and support personnel will begin Tuesday, Sept. 28, with flight operations taking place daily through the upcoming weekend.
