LOS ALAMITOS, CA — The Los Alamitos Unified School District board recently presented the Boeing Company with a Heroes of the Heart Award for its continuing support of schools.
In presenting a to William Cusato, Boeing’s director of service engineering and operations (and a Los Al parent), Board President Meg Cutuli praised him and the company for donating time, money and materials to enhance staff development and student programs for the past 10 years.
The company has contributed more than $500,000, Cutuli said, and has been instrumental in helping the district build its STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics) program.
