The Los Al softball bats have been hot and cold all year long, picked a bad day to have another cool effort, mustering just five hits as the Griffins fell 4-0 to Gahr in a second round CIF playoff match at Los Al. The Griffins were still in the game at 1-0 until Gahr, the Division 1 runner-up last year, scored three runs in the top of the fifth. Los Al, which had entered the game seeded No. 3 and ranked No. 2 in Orange County, ended their season with a 19-9 record.
Sarah Ladd went 4 2/3 innings, giving up six hits and four runs (three earned) while striking out seven. Tyler Denhart tossed 2 1/3 scoreless innings.
