The Los Alamitos Griffins, winners of the CIF Division II volleyball championships, continue their quest for a state CIF title when they take on 2 seed Foothill tonight in Tustin. Game time is 7pm.
The Griffins advanced to the SoCal third round with 3-0 sweeps over Bakersfield Liberty on Tuesday and San Diego Scripps ranch on Thursday. Foothill downed Aliso Niguel on Thursday.
The winner of tonight’s contest will advance to next Tuesday’s Southern California finals against the winner of the No. 1 seed Temecula Valley vs. Bishop’s match. The state championships will be played next Saturday.
