Lions International president visits Seal Beach
The Seal Beach Lions Club hosted a luncheon on Dec. 29 welcoming Lions Club International President Douglas Alexander of New York. Alexander has been a member of Lions since 1984, as a member of the Brooklyn Bedford Stuyvesant Lions Club. Despite being based in a small city, the Seal Beach Lions Club has approximately 370 members. Pop-up COVID testing site closes due to overflow
A COVID testing site near the Los Alamitos Youth Center building became so inundated with people seeking tests that the City of Los Alamitos decided to close the site until a more suitable location can be found, officials said on Tuesday afternoon. Local Beaches reopen after sewage spill
The good news—if that phrase may be applied to something as revolting as a multi-million gallon sewage spill—is that our town’s beaches reopened early Monday afternoon., Jan. 3. The spill originated inland and closed beaches in two counties.
State Sen. Tom Umberg told the Sun that the pipe that caused the spill had been scheduled to be replaced in 2022.
