Los Al Trunk Sewer repair project to begin tearing up streets soon

Orange County Sanitation District Los Alamitos Trunk Sewer Project

The Los Alamitos Trunk Sewer Project is anticipated to start within the next couple months.

This project will make improvements to the regional sewer lines and manholes in the cities of Seal Beach and Los Alamitos.  It’s part of the Western Regional Sewer Program that is replacing and/or rehabilitating over 20 miles of sewer in six cities and the unincorporated area of Rossmoor.

The Los Al Trunk phase will make improvements to two parallel sewer lines and associated manholes along a two-mile stretch of Seal Beach Blvd/Los Alamitos Blvd. from just north of the I-405 freeway to Katella Avenue in the cities of Seal Beach and Los Alamitos. Also being repaired are the sewer on Katella Avenue from Oak Street to Lexington Drive.

The official start date per the OC Sanitation website is “late summer” 2021.  T
