Almost a year to the day after Orange Lutheran and pitcher Maddy Dwyer had ended the Los Al girls softball team’s dream of a 2016 CIF title in their semi-final round match-up, the Griffins and pitcher Ryan Denhart got sweet revenge — downing the Lancers 1-0 in another thrilling semi-final classic. Denhart struck out 11 players in a superb performance and need it as Dwyer, the returning [pitcher of the year, turned in another gem herself.
