Alonzo Esparza replaces Nelson at quarterback after spending the first two years of his high school career at Culver City and Sierra Canyon. Tight end Davon Mitchell is a transfer from Allen, Texas and is committed to Oklahoma. There are other newcomers to the Los Al roster and the OC Registers Steve Fryer notes that transfer paperwork delays may result in some newcomers not being officially cleared to play.
