If he didn’t grab your attention as a sophomore quarterback at Los Al last year, he might have done it last week when quarterback Malachi Nelson verbally committed before a national cable sports network audience to play college football at Oklahoma beginning in Fall 2023.
He did so in a Sunday ceremony at Los Al High that got full coverage from the CBSSports network.
Fall 3023 is a long time away (and an underclass commitment isn’t officially binding anyway), but Nelson deserves the attention (ande his family will probably appreciate even more) the peace and tranquility that comes with one of the top prospects in the nation taking himself off the market.
