GRIFFIN SPORTS: Girls BB takes 3rd place at SoCal Classic

The Los Alamitos Girls basketball team finished the San Diego SoCal Holiday Classic in strong fashion, winning their last three games to take third place, capped off with 48-29 win over Downey on Saturday morning.

Junior point guard Sydney Gandy, who earned first team all-tourney honors, again led the Griffins with 21 points. Junior forward Maya Montz added ten points.

Los Al finishes their non-league season with a 14-4 mark. They resume league play on Thursday at Newport Harbor.
