The Los Alamitos Girls Soccer team converted three set pieces and captured its third straight Aliso Cup championship, downing host Aliso Niguel 4-0 Monday night on the losers home field.
Tabbi La Parl poked in a redirected corner kick in the 27th minute. Then Jayden Newkirk scored twice in four minutes, converting headers off corners in the 33rd and 37th minute to break the game open. Lauren Jewett’s goal in

The Los Al Boys Varsity soccer team notched a win over Paramount High School 3-0 on Monday afternoon. Alex Van Steenbergen scored twice in the first ten minutes. Riley Hunsaker’s
Van Steenbergen also notched an assist, along with Michael Simpson and Louie Arellano.
The Varsity improved its season record to 4-21-1 and now turn their attention to the West Coast Showcase which begins Thursday in Downey.
In lower level results, the JVs defeated Paramount 5-3 in a back and forth match. Scoring for Los Al were Brandon Nguyen, Angelo Ciago,
Ethan Chheng and Mike Wasson netted a pair. Viewers are got to watch some cool skies during the match.
