This past weekend, stdents from the Los Al Drama Department participated in the CETA (California Educational Theatre Association) High School Theatre Festival and came away
Over three days, our 25 students saw four full-length productions, participated in theatre workshops, auditioned for scholarships, and competed with a scene from our fall production of The Canterbury Tales.
The amazing results were: FIRST PLACE for The Canterbury Tales Best Supporting Actor– Louie Gallagher Best Supporting Actress– Melanie Tanaka
Melanie Tanaka, Louie Gallagher, And Connor Franzen were all chosen to attend the CA Youth in Theatre Day in Sacramento on March 11th and 12th. These three students will be meeting with our local legislator to discuss the importance of arts in schools, as well as performing their pieces for an invited audience.
