Carolyn Sylvia, a long-time Los Alamitos resident and passionate community member, passed away on Sunday, June 6th from complications of Parkinson’s Disease. Sylvia, the wife of the late former mayor Chuck Sylvia, was a large force in the community as well — the 1991 Citizen of the year and very active with the Community Center, Los Al Pony baseball, the St. Isidore Fiesta, and many other community activities,
