Students from Los Alamitos High School scored top honors in the recent Science Olympiad Invitational at Cerritos High School on December 15. The Griffin team, competing against schools from Los Angeles and Orange counties, took two first-place medals, one third-place, and one fourth-place.
The winners were:
- 1st Place in “Water Quality”— Leela Fredlund and Alexander Lew
- 1st Place in “Anatomy and Physiology” — Vincent Ngo and Sydney Nguyen
- 3rd Place in “Write It Do It” — John Kim and Stephanie Nam
- 4th Place in “Disease Detectives” — Leela Fredlund and Alexander Lew
Congratulations to the team. They are off to a great start and have already surpassed last year’s accomplishments!
