The Taste for the Frontline has completed seven days of buying meals from local restaurants and delivering them to our frontline healthcare workers at Los Alamitos Medical Center.
Overall, as of Friday meals had been bought from eight local restaurants and by the end of the week that will total at least 11 restaurants and nearly one thousand meals.
We’ve already delivered food from Brew Kitchen Ale House, Wahoo’s, Angelina’s Pizza, Chick Fil-A, Katella Deli, Hof’s Hut, Mama’s and Island’s. Upcoming we will serve food from Jersey Mike’s, Hortencia’s, Crema Cafe, Santa Fe Importers, Macaroni Grill, Thailusion, Finbar’s Italian, The Eldo and more to come.
The campaign has received great support from the city of Los Alamitos, the Med Center and its employees, local restaurants and most of all, the community which in less than a week has raised almost $15,000 to support the program.
The campaign has set up a GoFundMe page to grow revenues.
