    Run Seal Beach unveils Kid’s Fun Run t-shirt contest winners

    Each year, Run Seal Beach has the pleasure of holding a t-shirt design contest for the Kid’s Fun Run 1k. We asked for submissions in 2020, almost two years ago, unaware of the virtual race possibilities in 2021, in which the Kid’s Fun Run was cancelled in an abundance of caution. That means, many of us have been keeping the new design a secret all this time! We are happy to announce the winner for 2022, or should we say, for the first time ever in design history… WINNERS!     Graffiti removal is year-round project for Seal Beach Lions Club

    For nearly 10 years, the Seal Beach Lions Club has been cleaning up graffiti in and around Seal Beach. The preferred method is removal but sometimes the job requires a cover up with matching paints. A group of Lions carry supplies in their cars and take action once graffiti is seen in both public and private locations.

    Subcommittee recommends keeping council district map

    The Seal Beach Redistricting Subcommittee voted 2-zero on Tuesday, Feb. 2, to recommend that the city adopt the current map of council districts. So the map, for now, is unchanged.
    The issue now goes to the full City Council on Monday,  Feb. 28.
    The sub committee’s Tuesday meeting was brief. At one  point, the council’s YouTube page reported three people watching the meeting.
