The Los Al Griffins Boys Soccer team kicked off its 2018-19 season with a 2-2 tie against Alta Loma in the opening pool play match of the Aliso Cup tournament.
Alex Van Steenberger scored on a nice run down the right side. The other goal was scored on a deflection by a Los Al player on the ground.
The Griffins’ next game is Friday at hart High School in Santa Clarita. Hart and Alta Loma ted 1-1 yesterday so a win Friday would give the victor first place in the pool and advance them to the championship bracket on Saturday. A tie would bring up many variables. Currently Los Al is barely in first place, due to fewer goals allowed.
