Eight candidates have applied to fill the Cypress City Council seat left vacant by the resignation of councilmember Stacy Berry, who would be relocating to another state.
The deadline to apply was Friday, July 30, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. Applicants will be interviewed for Berry’s seat by the remaining members of the Cypress City Council
The City website lists the names of eight applicants. Two of the applicants, Rachel Strong and Carrie Katsumata Hayashida, ran in last year’s Council election. Links to the candidate bios are at the OC Breeze website.
