Fortune Cookies to move to Shops at Rossmoor

The Shops at Rossmoor, an outdoor lifestyle center, today announced the addition of Fortune Cookies Chinese Bistro, one of the top Chinese restaurants in Orange County. Known for its heart-healthy, portion-controlled entrees, Fortune Cookies Chinese Bistro will move from its current Los Alamitos location to its new 3,299-square-foot home next to Jos. A. Bank at The Shops at Rossmoor in early fall 2019.

“Fortune Cookies is a wonderful addition to our already strong lineup of restaurants and eateries,” says Janice Scott, General Manager, The Shops at Rossmoor. “With its authentic Chinese food, Fortune Cookies brings a taste of something unique and worldly to Seal Beach, and we believe our shoppers will truly enjoy its health-conscious meals and family-friendly atmosphere.”

“We’re moving our Los Alamitos location to The Shops at Rossmoor to share our unique twist on traditional Chinese favorites with an even broader audience,” says Jimmy Chen, owner of Fortune Cookies Chinese Bistro. “Our new location at The Shops at Rossmoor will offer our diners an opportunity to make the most of their free time, enjoying our heart-healthy cuisine while taking advantage of the services and retail shopping available from our co-tenants in this convenient and freeway-close location.”

Fortune Cookies Chinese Bistro’s delicious low-fat menu includes specialty and sushi house rolls, soups, Chop Suey, Lo Mein, and chicken, beef and seafood dishes. Keeping its charter to provide authentic, yet healthy Chinese cuisine always top of mind, Fortune Cookies Chinese Bistro uses only 100 percent white meat chicken breast and USDA beef and trans-fat-free vegetable oil, no MSG, reduced sodium soy throughout its menu, and individualized dietary modifications that assist diners who need gluten-free meals as well as low cholesterol or blood sugar- and blood pressure-friendly entrée options.

The Fortune Cookies menu includes a curated collection of the best recipes from an earlier generation. The restaurant’s original chef spent many years developing new ways to improve Chinese cuisine, making Fortune Cookies meals both an authentic representation of the best in Chinese cooking as well as a smart alternative for health-conscious diners.
