The Los Al Girls basketball team, the defending Sunset League champions, and ranked No. 5 in the OC Register’s pre-season list, started the season off with a pair of wins in the South Coast Classic. Nxt up for Los Al is a friday match against Woodbridge of Irvine. It will again be played at University High in that city.
On Tuesday, the Lady Griffins opened their season this week with a 59-37 win over Yorba Linda Junior Sydney Gandy had 15 points.
On Wednesday, Los Al defeated Tesoro 55-35. Gandy again led the way with 19 points, followed by Maya Montez with 11 pts, and Latavia Miller with 9.
