The Los Alamitos Girls Soccer team continued its scorched earth path through the early Sunset Conference play by trouncing Laguna Beach 6-0 Tuesday night at the Los Al Stadium.

LaParl got Los Al on the board in the 14th minute. Two minutes later, when the keeper bobbled a shot by Barnett, Jayden Newkirk alertly poked it in for a 2-0 lead, which held up to halftime.

The Lady Griffins are now 16-4 overall, and 4-0 in Sunset Conference crossover play. They begin the Wave League portion of their season on Thursday when they host Huntington Beach which will bring a 14-5 record into the contest. The Griffins are ranked No. 8 in Orange County and the Oilers are No. 9.

WRESTLING: LA Times notes Griffins could be challenger to always tough FV
We don’t get much wrestling news submitted to us and it is hard to find anything about them on the internet so we’re happy to come across anything. The LA Times did a Sunset League preview and noted that perennial power Fountain Valley, winner of seven straight league titles, could see its main challenge coming from the Griffins.
The Times noted that Los Alamitos won their Surf League opener against visiting Marina 49-30 on Dec. 19, and are currently ranked eighth in Division 3.
