Lots of news at Los Al last week. Here are some of the highlights from this week’s Monday Morning memo.
Pacific Life Foundation donates $4,000
The Pacific Life Foundation made a generous donation of $4,000 to Los Alamitos High School. These funds will support infusing additional technology into the classrooms. PHOTO: In the photo of LAHS parents and students, along with Los Alamitos Principal Dr. Stone, display the check.
LAHS Model United Nations! shines at Laguna Beach Conference
MUN had a great showing at The Laguna Beach Invitational Model United Nations Conference this weekend. They debated topics such as treatment of refugees and homelessness in Southern California. LAHS MUN competed amongst 400 students from local high schools. Special shoutouts to Andy Fong, Hannah Robinson, and Svati Sundararangan who won the Best Delegate awards in their committees.
Jazz Bands in the Spotlight
LAHS Jazz in conjunction with both the Oak and McAuliffe middle school bands and the Los Alamitos Youth Center hosted their annual Spotlight concert to a full house in the LAHS PAC on Saturday night.

Drama Acts Out Big Time
This weekend, Los Al Drama competed at the Fullerton High School Theatre Festival. The students received 5 event superiors and Los Al LIVE progressed to the Finals for the very first time. Los Al placed 2nd in Lighting Focus, 2nd in Graphic Design (Louie Gallagher for Bye Bye Birdie), and 1st Place in Individual Knots (Owen Marubayashi) and 1st Place in Scenic Design (McKenna Brennan for The Canterbury Tales). Receiving superiors were Dylan Crane, Sam Neal, Marshall Davis, Amira Aiad, Mickey Buldimann, Lizzy Legere, Summer Rogers, Alexandria Magana, and the improv team of Grace Coil, Mady Lopez, Hannah Thiel, and Lizzy Legere.
