Over 15 local nonprofit groups are participating in a communal fundraiser organized through the new DGS mobile app.  Yesterday, part of the Song & Cheer squad (the part that wasn’t away at camp) went en masse to Wahoo’s in Los Alamitos to scarf their favorite Mexican-Asian food.  Wahoo’s, like all the businesses participating in the campaign, is returning 20% of any purchase back to the participating nonprofit/booster club.

In addition to Song & Cheer, six other Los Al High related groups as well as some community nonprofits including St. Isidore Historical Plaza, Grateful Hearts and others.

DGS stands for Do Good & Save and is a partnership between Cty611, a company which makes mobile apps for cities, and OUR Los Al, which encouraged Cty611 to come to this area and work through the local nonprofits instead of the cities.  Find download instructions and more info here or just click the image to enlarge it.
